Moving Meditation combines the movement of meditative asana with the stillness of quiet, intuitive breath. Alternating between stillness and movement, experience and observation.
The flow may shift and change being somewhat freestyle, but the purpose remains unchanged. Just Be-ing. Allowing an experience of the I AM to happen organically and without the interference of trying or striving to accomplish anything.
The prerequisite to Moving Meditation is having attended and completed a Sun Salutation series or a series of Move from Within practices in order to have an understanding of what are the bandhas, how do we engage them and why they are essential to a movement practice.
By drawing our senses of perception inward, we are able to experience the control, silence, and quietness of the mind. This ability to still and gently silence the mind is essential, not only for meditation and the inward journey but also so that the intuitive intelligence can function usefully and in a worthwhile manner in the external world.
